Our Story

Hello, Tom here, I set up Protea (pronounced pro-T-ya) Wellness in 2017. Having lived in the UK for many years, it was time to embark on a new adventure and so I moved to Spain in 2020 where I took over an existing hearing clinic (Digital Hearing) and named it Protea Wellness Audiology. Travelling is a huge passion of mine and with a sister in South Africa, it is a second home for me. And that’s where Protea Wellness was born! The protea flower is South Africa’s national flower and represents hope and change. Which fits perfectly with our ethos “change is important” and “expect the best”. Being able to hear better can improve a person’s quality of life significantly, we have witnessed this first hand and we’ve therefore made it my mission to bring hearing to as many people in the world as possible!
